Mission Statement
The William L. Buck Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to making every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. We do this by:
· being a powerful voice for all children;
· building a strong community by serving as a resource for families, teachers and the community and encouraging family and community participation and involvement in the education of the children; and
· being a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child by providing funding and volunteer support for various academic and enrichment activities for every student.
We strive to accomplish this mission while adhering to the National PTA’s core values: Collaboration; Commitment; Diversity; Respect; and Accountability.
We continue to be successful in pursuit of our goals because of the constant communication between the PTA, administration, parents and teachers. Some of the programs that the PTA sponsors to help meet our goals are:

· Reading award programs: PARP/25 Book Club
· Cultural Arts assembly programs
· Reflections Contest (dance/film/literature/music composition/photography/visual arts)
· Book Fairs
· Hydration Station (Filtered water fountain)
· Student Holiday Lunch
· Breakfast With Santa
· Teacher Appreciation Lunch
· Field Day
· End-of-Year Carnival
· 6th Grade Graduation Activities
